Seattle History: Queen Anne High School

The former Queen Anne High School is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and was originally designed in 1899 by Seattle School District's architect James Stephen.
The architectural style is Neo-Classical, and the building is situated at 201 Galer Street at the peak of Queen Anne Hill. The school was enlarged in both 1929 and 1955, with the additions being more utilitarian/industrial in style and feel.

The school was closed and sold to private developers in the 1980's, and opened as a high end condominium development in 1987. The complex is not open to the public, but may be photographed on walk-by from the street.
